Action for Rural Inclusion & Socio-Economic Empowerment
Bright, centered, and practical: ARISE equips women with the tools, coaching, and confidence to budget, save, and build community-led enterprises.
About the project
Inspired by her mother’s strength and by women sidelined from finance, Grade 11 student Rhea Jain founded ARISE to bridge access, education, and opportunity—combining empathy with action.
In rural Maharashtra, Rhea helped 13 women form a Self-Help Group (SHG), secure microloans, and launch small businesses. That proof-of-concept ignited a movement.
ARISE is now expanding across Southeast Asia with story-led, culturally rooted workshops that make finance feel personal, practical, and possible.

Why it matters
Rhea created ARISE after seeing a domestic helper’s friend stranded without financial knowledge when her husband passed. It’s why our curriculum is hands-on, empathetic, and rooted in real stories.
We start with stories women share about money, responsibility, and opportunity—then co-design solutions.
Workshops include budgeting drills, savings challenges, and mock banking so women leave ready to act.
Trained local leaders and teachers deliver the program in their language, multiplying reach with trust.
We need volunteers
Facilitate workshops, translate materials, mentor aspiring women, or organize SHG sessions. Every hour expands access to financial independence.
